Media Production Manager jobs in Tacoma, WA

Hörmann is hiring a Production Manager for our manufacturing facility in Puyallup, WA. This is a first shift position. This position is responsible for production load capacity. Collaborates for production scheduling, process improvement, equipment troubleshooting.  Fiscally responsible for manufacturing operations.  This position reports directly to the vice president of manufacturing.

Essential duties of this position:

• Direct and manage plant operations for production.
• Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
• Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
• Control and minimize labor overtime.
• Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
• Coordinates with the Maintenance Manager for execution and development of preventative maintenance programs.
• Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among production plant personnel.
• Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisors
• Monitors downtime for production equipment

Essential Job Skills and Experience

Education/Experience: Any combination of education and required skills and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• At least 5 years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment with 100 employees

Knowledge: Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements, manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures, LEAN manufacturing methods

Skill: Highly skilled in managing both automated and semi-automated production environments and be highly knowledgeable of efficiency, capacity planning and assembly methods.
