Media Program Director directs and coordinates activities of broadcast and programming personnel. Responsible for scheduling programs and event coverage, coordinating with other departments, working with directors and production staff, and assessing length and content of broadcasts. Being a Media Program Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Media Program Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Media Program Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Provides overall program supervision as assigned developmentally disability residential treatment program by interviewing with clients and presenting as a leader in a developing and implementing service plans and treatment plans.
    • Assesses the service needs of clients, makes treatment recommendations, and intervention suggestions to staff and intervention suggestions to other members of the support team and performs as the lead member of an inter-disciplinary team.

    Required Skills, Abilities & Education:

    • A thorough understanding of the developmentally disabled individuals, services, resources and tools.
    • The ability to assess clients (and families) from a strengths model perspective, along with the skills, knowledge and abilities to develop a theoretical perspective.
    • The ability to work with a variety of people.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • A BS/BA Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
    • One (1) to three (3) years of professional supervisory and management experience.
