SUMMARY OF POSITION :
The Program Director is responsible for leading the health system’s efforts to research, evaluate and advance progress toward workforce diversification, federal EEO compliance, inclusive work and patient care environments, and compliance driven health equity requirements through quantitative and qualitative metrics.
Responsible for developing and implementing Executive Order 11246, Vets 4212, and disability 503 affirmative action programs for the health system entities, completing and analyzing outcomes from required federal reports (such as EEO1 and veteran forms), monitoring entity and departmental hiring to ensure compliance with diversity selection policies with the goal of creating a more diverse workforce, and complying with Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) health equity data analytics requirements.
Also responsible for developing and implementing data analytics for diverse patient councils, the health system Diversity Council, the diverse employee engagement team, the diverse patient experience team, the diverse education team, the health system’s health equity pillar team, and the clinical diversity vice chairs in developing and deploying strategies, initiatives and programs, based on the evaluation of diversity and inclusion metrics, to foster a more accessible and inclusive work and patient experience environment.
The Senior Program Director will manage the completion of external diversity, health equity and patient experience/satisfaction surveys as benchmarking of the health system’s operations and provide an analysis of outcomes to identify key gap areas potentially affecting Penn State Health’s ability to remain competitive in attracting and retaining a talented diverse workforce and to meet its mission of being the most trusted health care provider in the state. The Senior Program Director will work with health system leaders and health system stakeholders, including human resources, to serve as subject matter expert in the identification of opportunities and challenges related to diversity, health equity, EEO compliance, and inclusion and determine appropriate benchmarking and metrics to achieve their diversity, health and inclusion goals.
