    Job Overview
    The PMO Director at Sequel Med Tech will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the Program Management Office (PMO) function from within the Global Supply Chain department but with an Enterprise focus and approach. Reporting directly to the VP, Global Supply Chain, the PMO Director will be responsible for creating and implementing PMO processes, methodologies, and best practices to drive successful project and program execution and alignment with organizational objectives across Sequel. This role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to build and motivate a high-performing team of program managers.

    *Strong preference for candidates based in the Northeast who are willing/able to work a hybrid schedule.



    Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
    • Establishment of PMO: Develop the PMO framework, including governance structures, processes, and tools, aligned with industry best practices and tailored to Sequel Med Tech's unique needs.
    • Leadership and Team Management: Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of program managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
    • Project Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, resource optimization, and timely delivery of key milestones and objectives.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including executives, departmental leaders, and external partners, to facilitate communication, alignment, and transparency throughout project lifecycles.
    • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies, proactively addressing issues to minimize disruptions and maximize project success.
    • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish mechanisms for tracking and reporting project performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders to enable informed decision-making and course corrections as needed.
    • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, soliciting feedback, analyzing processes, and implementing enhancements to optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and organizational impact.
    • Change Management: Lead change management efforts related to project initiatives, fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience to navigate evolving business needs and market dynamics.
    Minimum Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related field preferred; advanced degree strongly preferred.
    • 10 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional projects in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
    • 3 years of experience in a leadership role, with demonstrated ability to build, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, Six Sigma) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet).
    • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term objectives.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high degree of resilience, adaptability, and resourcefulness.
