Position Summary
The Assistant Program Director for NYAP’s La Jornada (The Journey) Program focusing on Long-Term Foster Care (LTFC) will be responsible for assisting the Program Director to ensure the delivery of long-term foster care services to unaccompanied minors transferred from the federal government’s Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) shelters, transitional foster care, or specialty ORR programs.
Under the general oversight of the Program Director, the Assistant Program Director provides support assisting the Program Director with programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems related to the provision of care and services; serves as secondary liaison with ORR; produces and delivers regular and timely reports; establishes a respectful and supportive workplace environment; and elevates issues or concerns.
