Media Program Director directs and coordinates activities of broadcast and programming personnel. Responsible for scheduling programs and event coverage, coordinating with other departments, working with directors and production staff, and assessing length and content of broadcasts. Position Summary: The Safe House Program Director is responsible for residential program development, the supervision of Safe House staff, and providing case management services to Safe House guests. The Safe House Program Director is an active member of the agency’s leadership team.
Safe House Operations Duties:
Through staff, ensures the following, including but not limited to:
· Ensures quality, nonjudgmental service provision for Safe House program areas.
· Ensures protocols are in place and followed for Safe House operations, including intake, house rules, housekeeping, and safety.
· Recruits and trains interns, effectively.
· Provides regular staff training and fosters a team approach.
· Conducts one-on-one supervisory sessions with staff to manage expectations, monitor, evaluate and maximize staff performance.
· Facilitates the “New Beginnings” Housing Program for applicable safe house guests. This includes assessing eligibility, providing housing and financial education, and assisting clients find safe housing through application and deposit assistance.
· Participates in the on-call manager rotation schedule with the Executive Director and House Coordinator.
· Complete monthly reports including petty cash, food donation logs, and gift cards.
Case Management Duties:
· Provide concrete case management, advocacy, and access to in-house and external resources.
· Meet regularly with clients to support case plan accomplishment.
· Refer clients to other agencies and resources and advocate directly with other agencies as needed to help clients access necessary services.
· Maintain service partnerships with referral agencies.
· Participate in staff meetings, case staffing and other meetings as needed.
· Ensures client case documentation is up-to-date and reflective of services provided. Files are subject to review at any time.
Professional Qualifications:
· BA in Social Work, Sociology or Human Services
· 2 years of direct case management experience
· 1 years’ experience in the Domestic Violence or Sexual Assault field, preferably in a management capacity.
· Strong organizational skills
· Solid written and oral communication skills
· Experience working with individuals from diverse groups and background
· Ability to multitask
This position is a salaried-exempt position and requires the ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary to meet Safe House needs.
This also includes any other duties as assigned, and as may be necessary, for the effective and efficient operations of the agency.
