Red Fan Media Relations managers are key members of our Services team and have experience in and a hunger to deepen their expertise in B2B technology verticals such as fintech, supply chain, AI/machine learning, insurtech and more. The Media Relations Manager role reports to the Supervisor of Client Services. They will be responsible for ideating and conducting multiple media relations campaigns every week in collaboration with other interdisciplinary members of the Services team.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Serve as a core account team member who becomes fluent with each client’s media relations goals, leading the concepting, planning, and execution of media relations campaigns.
Lead monthly media relations planning and activities. Ensure team members execute campaigns and report on progress to client, account leads and agency leadership.
Stay at the forefront of industry news and trends. Continually build an understanding and knowledge of clients’ business and competitive environments to apply to campaigns and projects.
Oversee development of and edit messaging and related collateral created by junior staff including press releases, pitches, briefings, fact sheets and backgrounders.
Draft and edit integrated marketing and communications content such as press releases, pitches and executive bylines.
Ensure all client-facing materials are accurate, edited and meet Red Fan Communications standards.
Lead client presentations reporting on campaign proposals, strategy and performance.
Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications or marketing from an accredited university.
5 years of experience designing and managing media relations campaigns for B2B and
technology brands.
Have demonstrated experience interacting or establishing relationships with Tier-1 and trade producers, editors, and reporters along with a solid portfolio of media placements across national print, digital and broadcast outlets.
Extremely level-headed, quick-thinking and adept at remaining focused under pressure.
Demonstrate a passion for team collaboration and client success.
Must think critically with limited supervision, effectively managing timelines across multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills across all channels.
Experience with media monitoring platforms such as Cision, Meltwater or Muck Rack.

The base salary ranges from $80,000 to $85,000 annually depending upon factors including, but not limited to, experience, skill level, education and location.
