Medical Assistant assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical records. Being a Medical Assistant prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients. May draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Additionally, Medical Assistant may perform administrative duties such as ordering supplies, answering the phone, and scheduling appointments. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RCA) certification. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Medical Assistant works under moderate supervision. Olympus Health is hiring for a Medical Assistant in our Moline, IL office. Basic responsibilities include checking in patients, distributing paperwork, taking vitals, entering medical history, and keeping up with the patient flow.
This would be for 1-2 Saturdays per month. We are flexible on which Saturdays you are available. The clinic hours would be from about 9am - 5pm.
You would also need to be able to bring your own laptop.
