Medical Assistant assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical records. Being a Medical Assistant prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients. May draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Additionally, Medical Assistant may perform administrative duties such as ordering supplies, answering the phone, and scheduling appointments. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RCA) certification. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Medical Assistant works under moderate supervision.     Open positions:

    • Lindon: Full-time Monday through Friday - ~8:15am to 5:30pm
    • Saratoga and Eagle Mountain - Full-time - Monday through Friday - ~8:15am to 5:30pm

    Job Requirements:

    • Medical Assistant Experience - 1yr

    Job Description:

    • Coordinates with clinic staff to ensure a positive patient flow, waiting room, and exam room experience
    • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
    • Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.
    • Saves provider's time by helping with office procedures.
    • Monitor, clean and sanitize assigned patient examination rooms, unit areas and unit equipment; reports outdated supplies, stock levels and restock set levels of items and necessary equipment repairs
    • Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
    • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
    • Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
    • Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Office Lead
