Medical Assistant assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical records. Being a Medical Assistant prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients. May draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Additionally, Medical Assistant may perform administrative duties such as ordering supplies, answering the phone, and scheduling appointments. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RCA) certification. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Medical Assistant works under moderate supervision. Full-time openings for positions in a ENT Office for certified trained medical assistants (MAs). The office is fast-paced and at times stressful requiring a candidate that can diffuse difficult patient interactions with an even keel temperament.
Back office job responsibilities:
• Maintain and preparing patient records
• Preparing patient rooms for examination
• Prepare sterile trays
• Take patient’s vitals
• Chart documentation
• Assisting physicians with exams and procedure
• Process orders for CT scans, ultrasounds, and follow up referrals
• Knowledge of Medications and Medical Terminology
Requirements
Required qualifications:

Strong plus:
• Bilingual
• Medical/surgical experience
