Medical Assistant assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical records. Being a Medical Assistant prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients. May draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Additionally, Medical Assistant may perform administrative duties such as ordering supplies, answering the phone, and scheduling appointments. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RCA) certification. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Medical Assistant works under moderate supervision. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Nephrology team. As a CMA/LPN, you will provide direct patient care and assist in the day-to-day operations of our medical facility. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
- Taking patient vital signs and recording medical history
- Assisting physicians with procedures and treatments
- Administering medication and immunizations
- Updating and maintaining patient records
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Providing patient education and answering questions
- Assisting with administrative tasks as needed

Requirements
