Medical Billing Clerk jobs in Bridgeport, CT

Medical biller/receptionist to handle insurance verification, post payments, do electronic billing. Experience and knowledge of ICD-9/10 a plus.

HIPPA and OSHA compliance/knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Scheduling appointments.
• Answering phones.
• check patients in by verifying insurance, ID, collecting copays
• check patients out and make follow up appointments
• forward billing to a clearinghouse with a few computer steps
• excellent customer service skills required
• greeting patients

Qualifications:

• Experience with Nextech a plus.
• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, communications and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
