Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller/Billing Clerk to join our administrative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately processing received payments, timely billing of patients, and efficiently following up with insurance providers to resolve denied claims. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accounts receivable (A/R) percentages to meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process received payments accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure timely billing of patients and submission of claims.
• Follow up with insurance providers to resolve denied claims and ensure maximum reimbursement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance billing regulations and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor and analyze accounts receivable percentages to ensure they meet industry standards.
• Prepare and generate reports related to billing activities as required.
• Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in medical billing preferred.
• Proven experience working in medical billing or a related field.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance billing processes, and coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).
• Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve billing issues effectively.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.
