Medical Billing Clerk is responsible for reviewing, researching, coding, and generating third party billing for a medical facility. Completes and verifies ICD-10 coding. Being a Medical Billing Clerk inputs and maintains all payment records in database or systems. Performs basic customer service for routine patient or other inquiries. Additionally, Medical Billing Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Billing Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Fast Growing Medical Billing company seeking individual to work as our Patient Liaison for multi-clientele. Prior experience within the areas of Infusion Therapy and/ or Onconolgy preferred. Additional experience with payment posting, medical billing processes, handling patient inbound/outbound calls within the revenue cycle management experience desirable. The right candidate will be available to work remotely during normal business hours. Position will be part-time initially (30 Hrs./ week), expanding to 30-40 hours within 3-6 months or less. Person must be flexible to work hours within all time zones from Central to Pacific Time, have a quiet office setting with high-speed internet and a PC Windows computer no older than 2 years. Salary base monthly bonus. Required skills/experience: Excellent communication (written and verbal), PC/ Microsoft Excel, Outlook and working with online software systems experience.
