Gary Smith Honda in sunny Fort Walton Beach, FL is a family-owned and operated car dealership seeking a full-time Billing Clerk in the accounting department. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable and a team-player with accounting experience.

Billing Clerk Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verify car deal documents
• Schedule reconciliation
• Receipt money
• Prepare checks to customers
• Assist office manager with month-end close out duties
• Cover service cashier and receptionist for lunches, breaks and when absent
• Other duties as assigned

Billing Clerk Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Reynolds and Reynolds DMS experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding and knowledge of basic accounting principles required
• o i.e.: credits, debits and account normal balance
• Automotive Dealership accounting knowledge and/or experience a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows based programs
• Must have a positive attitude and work well as a team with others
• Ability to problem solve
• Excellent time management skills
• Good communication skills
• Highly organized
• Ability to multi-task under pressure in a busy and fast-paced office environment
• Must be able to meet established deadlines

Billing Clerk Schedule Requirements:

• Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm , plus occasional over-time including nights and weekends due to business needs. Scheduling needs will be discussed and negotiated at time of hire.
• Must be available at all month-end closings from at least a couple of days prior and up to 4 days after the beginning of the following month.

Education and Experience:

· 1 years of booking experience preferred

· High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, type and use office equipment, talk and hear. Candidate must be able to see color and at close and far distances.
