Medical office seeking experienced Medial Billing Specialist/Receptionist

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure accurate and timely billing
- Exceptional front desk customer service skills, checking patients in/out
- Verify insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement, posting payments, A/R
- Experience working denials
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding and billing guidelines

Requirements:
- Meeting deadlines, working in fast paced medical clinic
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems and medical billing processes
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and Athena electronic health record (EHR) systems
- L&I claims experience
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills to interact with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
