Scope of Duties for an Accounting Specialist

At Caring for Family of Companies we look for people with a nurturing spirit and a genuine desire to support and care for others. In this role, you can expect some or all of the following duties:  

• Adherence to processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls 
• Produce error-free accounting reports  
• Perform all medical billing functions, including authorizations
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable 
• Reconcile bank statements for multiple entities 
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities 
• Assist with receipts and record keeping systems 
• Assist with payroll functions 
• Assist with benefit administration functions 
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending 
• Perform general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department
