NATURE OF POSITION
The Billing Clerk is an integral member of the financial team of Community Health Services, and works in
cooperation with the Chief Financial Officer to maximize accounts receivable collection to ensure the
financial viability of the organization and its ability to continue its mission to the community.

QUALIFICATIONS
* High school diploma minimal required.
* Experience with data entry, ten-key calculator, Excel, and word processing required.
* Minimum three (3) years experience with Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance
processing required.
*Experience with collections required.
*Ability to interface with other department managers
*Ability to organize, communicate and perform detailed functions.

SALARY GRADE AND CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
RESPONSIBLE TO: CFO
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Coordinate daily functions such as encounter entry, billing, collections, payment posting,
responding to client inquiries, and days-ending procedures.
*Verifies Daily Deposits.
*Assist in month-end close and preparation of receivables journal entries.
*Prepare ad hoc projects for management as necessary.
*Assists with clerical duties as necessary.
*Performs other duties incidental to the work described herein.
