Medical Billing Specialist jobs in Columbus, OH

Specialized Medical Billing is seeking a Full-time Medical Billing Specialist wanted to work on multiple accounts. Out of state applicants will not be considered.

• -A thorough understanding of all aspects of the revenue cycle process preferred.
• -Coding, Data Entry, Insurance Follow-up and Patient Collections knowledge preferred.
• -Responsible for managing assigned workload and completing billing-related projects.
• -Works directly with insurance companies to resolve unpaid claims and maintain the overall health of assigned AR by completing corrected claims and/or appeals when necessary.
• -Works directly with clients to resolve questions related to billing process.
• -Ensures billing processes comply with corporate policies.
• -Responds quickly and effectively to internal and external customer inquiries with focus on issue resolution
• -Performs other duties as assigned in a professional manner
• -Works directly and efficiently with all clients.
• -Ability to read and understand EOB’s from insurance carriers.
• -Ability to utilize a computer, calculator, multi-line telephone and other office equipment.
• -Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
• -Knowledge of payment posting preferred.
• -Able to think independently and work well within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
