Billing SpecialistLocation: Everett
Schedule: 1.0 FTE
Salary: $21-$24 per hour
The Billing Specialist administers billing processes for the organization including verifying coverage and obtaining authorizations. Monitors billing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of practices. Stays informed regarding changes in commercial insurance coding and billing.Required Qualifications and Key Competencies- Medical Billing or Health Information Records Technician certificate and 1 year experience in healthcare billing or 2 years’ experience in healthcare billing preferred
- Experience working with AdvancedMD preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret goals, objectives, policies and procedures
- Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
