Medical Billing Supervisor oversees the preparation of medical bills and invoices, the calculation of provider charges, and verification of patient insurance. Local Medical Billing service provider seeking to add a billing specialist to their team. This individual will be responsible for client revenue cycle processing which includes: posting of patient payments insurance company follow up with denied claims, filing timely appeals, and providing excellent customer service via telephone and or e-mail. Successful candidates must have working knowledge of commercial insurances and Medicare-Medicaid. The candidate must be proficient in working within insurance portals and other software platforms.
Job responsibilities include:
* Analyze electronic and paper claims, rejections and denials for potential issues delaying claim processing.
* Candidate must be organized and detail oriented.
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
* 1-3 years experience in health care billing required.
* Must be able to work well independently, initiate tasks and follow thru to completion.
