Medical Billing Supervisor oversees the preparation of medical bills and invoices, the calculation of provider charges, and verification of patient insurance. Maintains insurance documents and contracts. Being a Medical Billing Supervisor oversees the submission of claim reports and filing procedures. Ensures billing operations are performed in an accurate and timely manner. Additionally, Medical Billing Supervisor evaluates billing processes and procedures and assists management in developing revisions. Monitors the revenue cycle activities and resolves any issues. Needs to be familiar with ICD-10, CPT, and/or HCPCS Coding Systems as well as claim forms such as CMS-1500 and UB-04. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Medical Billing Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Gold Cross Services is the leading billing and collection agency for ambulance claims in the state of Utah. We are currently looking for employees who are responsible for accurate and timely billing for medical transportation claims, assisting patients over the phone with their questions and concerns, and all other aspects of the billing process. Our mission is to provide the best customer service experience possible by helping individuals navigate their insurance and payment options to resolve claims and help them in anyway possible.
This is a full time position Monday thru Friday 8:00 to 5:00 with available benefits such as health and dental insurance, 401k and HSA matches, and Vacation and Sick time. Starting pay is $18.00 plus incentives when fully trained. Incentive is up to 15% of your base pay, which is up to $442.00 extra per month for new employees. This position will be in our corporate office in Salt Lake City, as we currently do not have any remote positions available.
