SUMMARY OF POSITION :
This position is responsible for the management of the PSH Lancaster Medical Center campus security to provide for institutionally readiness for the protection of lives, well-being and property of the patients, visitors, staff and manage approximately 20 staff members. Develop, review and update policies and procedures, administrate an electronic records management system, and plan and develop new security strategies to better serve our campus needs such as implementing the visitor management software, badging policy & procedure changes, future state access control integration changes and any organizational project to serve the security needs of our PSH Lancaster community.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience (4 years).
Ten (10) years of related experience required demonstrating an increasing level of responsibility and qualifications in healthcare security leadership or law enforcement leadership.
Comprehensive understanding of Joint Commission requirements for healthcare security.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Knowledge of access control and surveillance systems preferred.
Incident Command Systems 100, 200, 300, 700 and 800 certifications preferred.
Possess the IAHSS Basic, Advanced and Supervisory certifications preferred.
Previous security related supervisory experience preferred.
