An exciting and challenging opportunity awaits a highly qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) in one of the most beautiful areas in the country, Asheville, NC.

Job Summary: This position performs moderate and high complexity lab analyses and/or identification procedures on blood, body fluids, and other specimens to obtain data which may be used by medical providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Must follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis, reporting and maintaining records of patient results.
• Must communicate with clinical staff regarding patient samples, results, and any problems arising with testing or reporting of samples.
• Assist management in monitoring quality control data to ensure results or procedures are accurate and precise.
• Review SOPs and assist with updating SOPs as needed.
• Perform PT tests, and routine instrument maintenance.
• Work well under pressure and time constraints with minimal supervision.
• Must be proficient with word document and excel.

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

Required License: Medical Technologist

Experience: One year in clinical laboratory (Preferred).
