Medical Director plans and directs all aspects of an organization's medical policies, standards, and programs. Responsible for strategic clinical relationships with physicians and interns. Being a Medical Director ensures all clinical programs are in compliance with all applicable regulations. Researches and studies current medical publications and data on new treatments and practices to ensure high quality clinical service offerings. Additionally, Medical Director advises non medical management on clinical and patient related matters and policies. Requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. The Medical Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Medical Director typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Craft and execute a wide array of activities and programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of our senior residents, encompassing physical, social, emotional, and cognitive dimensions.
    • Lead group activities ranging from stimulating games and creative crafts to invigorating exercise classes and soothing music sessions, ensuring each resident finds something enjoyable and fulfilling.
    • Collaborate closely with fellow team members to curate a monthly activity calendar brimming with exciting options, fostering a sense of community and participation among residents.
    • Conduct personalized assessments to discern the unique interests, preferences, and capabilities of each resident, ensuring activities are tailored to suit individual needs.
    • Offer assistance and support to residents with daily activities when required, fostering independence and dignity in everyday living.
    • Organize special events such as festive celebrations, birthday parties, and community gatherings, creating memorable moments for residents to cherish.
    • Maintain meticulous records of resident participation in activities, noting any changes or concerns in behavior or well-being to ensure comprehensive care.
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends and techniques in senior care, aging issues counseling, and recreational therapy, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications:

    • A degree in social work, recreational therapy, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
    • Previous experience working with seniors in a similar setting is highly desirable, demonstrating your understanding of their unique needs and preferences.
    • Exceptional communication skills are essential, enabling you to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues alike.
    • Strong organizational abilities are a must, allowing you to manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities seamlessly.
    • A keen awareness of aging issues counseling and a deep empathy for the needs of seniors will serve you well in this role.
    • Proficiency in event planning and coordination will enable you to create memorable experiences for our residents.
    • Flexibility is key, as you'll need to adapt activities to suit individual resident needs and preferences.
