Researches and studies current medical publications and data on new treatments and practices to ensure high quality clinical service offerings. Additionally, Medical Director advises non medical management on clinical and patient related matters and policies. Requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. The Medical Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Medical Director typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Job Description
The Medical Director will be one of the lead executives in support of the Company’s clinical operations in its market. The MD will guide the Practice’s clinicians to provide safe, effective medical services in SNF, LTC, ALF, and AIR settings. The MD will provide ongoing clinical education to clinicians and keep current medical staff up-to-date on changing health regulations.
