The Minnesota Language Connection interpreting services is a leading provider and manager of language access services, dedicated to helping people communicate in over 50 languages throughout the state of Minnesota. We are committed to delivering exceptional language services to our Limited English Proficiency (LEP) population and clients. Currently, we are seeking a professional interpreter to provide face-to-face services.

As a face-to-face interpreter, you will utilize your language skills to assist individuals during medical, educational, and social service appointments. This position involves traveling to various hospitals and clinics across Minnesota.

Job Qualifications:

• Native fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Proficiency in medical interpreting.
• Preferably, a minimum of two years of interpreting experience. However, we are willing to train candidates who demonstrate the required language skills and commitment to learning.
• Successful completion of a verbal and written assessment.
• Adherence to the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) Code of Ethics.
• Completion of at least 40 hours of interpreter training is preferred.
• Must be registered and actively listed on the Minnesota Spoken Language Health Care Interpreter Roster.
• Commitment to completing 8 hours of industry Continuing Education Units annually.
• Ability to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or possess a valid work permit.
• Completion of a satisfactory criminal background check prior to employment.
• Possession of reliable transportation.
