Medical Laboratory Technician performs a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested by healthcare staff according to established protocols and procedures. Prepares specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures. Being a Medical Laboratory Technician operates automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Performs quality control and assurance procedures. Additionally, Medical Laboratory Technician records lab results in specified system. Follows all required privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards. Requires an associate degree in laboratory technology, science or equivalent. Requires valid certification as Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from ASCP or AMT. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Laboratory Technician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. We are seeking a skilled Metrology Technician to join our team. As a Metrology Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of our measuring instruments and equipment. ```Duties```
- Calibrate precision measuring instruments and equipment according to established standards
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on measuring instruments
- Conduct inspections to ensure equipment meets specifications
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with measuring instruments
- Fabricate or modify fixtures to support measurement processes
- Collaborate with other departments to address quality control concerns
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members
```Skills```
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and equipment
- Experience in field service or industrial maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems and high voltage is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Customer service-oriented mindset
