Medical Librarian Assistant assists the librarian and users with the operations of a medical library. Helps with computer searches, inter-library loans, cataloging, circulation, general reference and questions about library services. Being a Medical Librarian Assistant organizes and shelves materials and prepares new materials for circulation. May perform data entry to update library systems. Additionally, Medical Librarian Assistant may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Librarian Assistant works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. - High School diploma; OR GED.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.
Additional Qualifications for Certified Medical Assistant II:
- Successful completion of competencies outlined in Job Progression Checklist.

Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, and T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis) and COVID-19.
