Helps with computer searches, inter-library loans, cataloging, circulation, general reference and questions about library services. Being a Medical Librarian Assistant organizes and shelves materials and prepares new materials for circulation. May perform data entry to update library systems. Additionally, Medical Librarian Assistant may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Librarian Assistant works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Must have 2 year minimum back office experience With triage, rooming patients, injections, sterile technique, prescription handling, prior authorizations, medical terminology, vitals, handling clinical calls. Experience in check in, check out, insurance verification, copay collections, patient registration, EMR capabilities, e-faxing, medical records, referrals, authorization and NV insurance payers. Must be organized and detail oriented with good time management skills.
