Medical Librarian Assistant assists the librarian and users with the operations of a medical library. Helps with computer searches, inter-library loans, cataloging, circulation, general reference and questions about library services. Being a Medical Librarian Assistant organizes and shelves materials and prepares new materials for circulation. May perform data entry to update library systems. Additionally, Medical Librarian Assistant may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Librarian Assistant works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Greets and assists all patients and/or customers who present in office. Put together daily patient charts. Obtains lab and referral information for physician review. Prepares patients for examination and assists physician during patient encounter. Answers patient questions and educates regarding minor office procedures. Maintains medical records information for patient visits, other referrals, insurance pre-certification information, and billing. May work varying hours, as needed, including holidays. May be required to travel to multiple office locations. Provides friendly, courteous, and confidential assistance to every patient.

EXPERIENCE:
