Medical Librarian Assistant assists the librarian and users with the operations of a medical library. Helps with computer searches, inter-library loans, cataloging, circulation, general reference and questions about library services. Being a Medical Librarian Assistant organizes and shelves materials and prepares new materials for circulation. May perform data entry to update library systems. Additionally, Medical Librarian Assistant may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Librarian Assistant works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     About the team:

    Working as an integral member of the clinic team, the Medical Assistant supports and assists health care providers by performing patient care duties to facilitate smooth, efficient, high quality care and positive experiences for Summit Pacific patients.

    Required Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program.

    Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registration:

    1. Current Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure.
    2. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within 90 days of hire

    Job Specific Duties:

    1. Knowledge of medical assistant duties and scope of practice; knowledge and skill in techniques of good patient care.
    2. Proficient in the use of current technology, including Microsoft Office products. Ability to learn and effectively use electronic medical records and other systems and equipment.
    3. Working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
    4. Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation and records.
    5. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.  Ability to read, write and speak the English language.  Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
    6. Ability to perform a wide variety of assignments that require the use of independent judgment, problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
    7. Ability to cultivate effective working relationships and work in collaboration with providers, other health care professionals, managers, and patients.

                This is a union position with a pay range of $22.11 - $30.86 per hour depending on experience.
