Medical Librarian Assistant assists the librarian and users with the operations of a medical library. Helps with computer searches, inter-library loans, cataloging, circulation, general reference and questions about library services. Being a Medical Librarian Assistant organizes and shelves materials and prepares new materials for circulation. May perform data entry to update library systems. Additionally, Medical Librarian Assistant may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Librarian Assistant works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Ability to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Repetitive motion of upper body required for extended use of computer.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position in an outpatient medical business office setting. The estimated schedule for the position is weekdays 8am to 5pm with a rotating Saturday 8am to 12pm. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some overtime as approved in advance.
Travel:
This position may require travel to other White-Wilson clinics.
Work Environment:
This position requires regular and reliable on-site attendance.
