Minimum Education:
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for assisting the MD/NP in providing direct patient care including, but not limited to:
a. Equipment preparation
b. Obtaining/updating patient's medical history, vital signs, height, weight, etc.
c. Scheduling of appointments and procedures as ordered by the Provider.
d. Responsible for prescription refills as authorized by the Provider.
e. Obtains insurance pre-authorizations as required for testing and scheduling.
2. Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and visitors.
3. Provides direct patient care as delegated by the Physician within the scope of practice.
4. Takes verbal orders from the provider and documents appropriately.
5. Under the direction of a supervising Physician, may administer oral and parenteral medications (except for IV).
6. Completes all documentation in a timely manner.
7. Oversees/verifies appointment booking, ensuring priority is given to patients in emergent situations.
8. Maintains timely patient flow.
9. Assists with the preparation of equipment, exam rooms, laundry, etc.
10. Restocks and cleans rooms as necessary
11. Cleans rooms as necessary
12. Maintains all required education and competencies.
13. Performs misc. Clinic Office duties as needed by the practice.
14. Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
