Medical Librarian Assistant assists the librarian and users with the operations of a medical library. Helps with computer searches, inter-library loans, cataloging, circulation, general reference and questions about library services. Being a Medical Librarian Assistant organizes and shelves materials and prepares new materials for circulation. May perform data entry to update library systems. Additionally, Medical Librarian Assistant may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Librarian Assistant works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Medical Assistant Job Responsibilities:
- Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history
- Clean and prepare exam rooms prior to/following patient appointments.
- Able to perform various medical procedures such as EKG, PFT, Ear Lavage etc.
- Administer injections and take blood draws.
- Assist with patient scheduling, follow up, and provider charting as needed.
Medical Assistant Job Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of clinical work experience as a Medical Assistant
- At least 1 year of EMR experience; eClinicalWorks preferred.
- High level of professionalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Medical Assistant Course Completion Diploma or CMA designation required.
