Position Summary : The Librarian is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive library to support staff, faculty, and students at technical colleges.
The librarian provides reference and circulation services utilizing a variety of information resources with an emphasis on computer and Internet research applications.
Maintains qualifications for employment as described by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Policy Manual and accreditation standards.
Follows rules and regulations as described by the TCSG Policy Manual and other policies and procedures established by the institution.
Position may require travel within the college’s assigned locations and other travel as needed.

Earned Master degree in Library and Information Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications, in addition to minimum qualifications : Preference may be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, provide transcripts of conferred degrees and demonstrate in the employment history possession of one or more of the following :
Projected Work Hours / Location : This position is projected to work 9 : 00 a.m. to 8 : 00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Position will be assigned to the Warner Robins campus with travel within the college service area as needed. This position is scheduled to work all 12 months per calendar year and at 40 hours per week.
Salary / Benefits : Target annual salary is low $50s. Salary to be determined by the candidate’s highest qualifying degree and / or related experience based on meeting published minimum and preferred qualifications.
Position is eligible for state benefits to include retirement, insurance, leave accrual and holiday pay. CGTC is a member of Teachers Retirement System of Georgia (TRS) and Employees Retirement System of Georgia (ERS).
