Bay Medical Management, LLC (BMMLLC) is a medical services organization (MSO) headquartered in Walnut Creek. The organization provides administrative and management services to Bay Imaging Consultants Medical Group (BIC) the premier radiology group in Northern California.
SUMMARY
The Senior Finance Manager coordinates, implements, and directs the functions of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for the Corporation and related entities. Performs financial analysis for physician group and the management company by gathering, synthesizing, and reporting information from various sources. Regularly interacts with physicians, internal management, human resources, employees, and joint venture partners to ensure processes occur smoothly.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Formulates and recommends for approval, systems for establishing or improving policies and processes on budgets, analysis, forecasting, and physician compensation. Administers such policies when approved.
· Manages financial planning and analysis staff to include training and development, work plans, performance standards for each direct report.
· Prepares analysis for members of management to determine the financial viability of proposed projects, capital expenditures, and new operations.
· Ability to identify needs for information and interrelationships of data from multiple sources.
· Coordinates and reviews the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-range plans for the Corporation and related entities. Analyze trends and assimilate knowledge into projections.
· Coordinates, directs, and reviews monthly financial reporting presentations and meeting minutes ensuring timely and accurate completion.
· Collaborates with the Director of Finance to ensure a thorough understanding of the financial and accounting policies and procedures for the Corporation and related entities.
SUPERVISORY RESPOSIBILITIES
· Directly supervises the financial analysts.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
· Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
· Collaborates effectively by keeping team members informed about developments or action that may affect them or the team.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· 10 years related experience, including financial analysis, budgeting, payroll, and data base development; and two or more recent years as a supervisor in the accounting/finance field.
· Medical group experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS
· Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and financial projections.
· Thorough understanding of general accounting methods, principles, and practices.
· Understanding of health care pricing, reimbursement, and financing preferred.
· Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and computerized accounting systems.
· Knowledge of Adaptive (Workday) budgeting system preferred.
· Excellent oral and written communications skills.
· Ability to develop and monitor systems and processes, and to write clear and concise procedures.
· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including ability to motivate employees and prioritize work.
· Detail oriented.
· Ability to interface and communicate with physicians both verbally and in writing through meetings, email, Teams chats, and phone calls.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, financial reports, legal documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and business partners.
