Reporting to the Nurse Director of Medical Surgical, the Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse Manager will be responsible for the twenty-four (24) hour planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the daily operations and clinical practice of Medical Surgical Oncology department in order to provide quality individualized patient care, to patients ranging from neonate to geriatric on the age continuum.
The Nurse Manager of Medical Surgical Oncology will also assume fiscal responsibility for the unit budgets, serve as a liaison with medical staff and other personnel, promote the maximum growth and development of each employee, support nursing research and assure patient advocacy. The Nursing Manager of Medical Surgical Oncology will work with executives and leadership team on quality measures, patient safety, risk management and performance improvement.
