Job Summary:

The Pain Center at Sharon Regional Medical Center is an outpatient department located within the hospital. The Center is open Monday-Friday 0800-1630. The Center is closed on weekends and holidays.

The Nurse functions as a team of professionals to support the operational needs of the Center. The nurse will provide patient care as directed by the clinical manager and/or Provider. This includes vital signs, medication reconciliation, education, authorizations, assisting the Provider with procedures, and other supportive tasks of the Clinic as assigned. All educational needs are encompassed within the orientation period.

Job Description:

• Provides direct care to patients, including:
  • Vital signs
  • Medication reconciliation
  • Assist with the post-procedure recovery of the patient.
• Documentation of patient care in medical records.
• Assist with office functions as needed, including but not limited to answering the phones, authorizations, filing, and stocking rooms
• Provide patient education regarding any dressing change and follow-up care
• Identifies opportunities for performance improvement and projects designed to improve clinical performance within and across departmental lines.

Requirements:

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of PA
• BLS
• Clearances Required by Federal and State Governments
• ACLS (within 90 days of hire)
• NIHSS (within 90 days of hire)
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
