Roles & Responsibilities
- Manages the Bulk Sales Program including ensuring all orders are processed promptly, interacts with customers and supervises/performs financial reporting of sales data. Manages the work requirements of agreement employees.

Manages the Refund Department including the work requirements of agreement employees, reviews refund claims processed, the prompt payment of refunds and all required financial reporting of refund data. Also interacts with customer inquiries escalated from agreement clerks.

Manages the maintenance and update of NJT fare tables and ensures the accuracy and completeness of fares.

Responsible for coordination with Electronic Revenue and other IT departments to ensure accurate implementation of fare increases and changes.

Responds to revenue policy questions submitted by customers and NJT personnel to determine how NJT revenue policy applies to each case. Recommends changes and updates to NJT revenue policy.

Involved in the development and monitoring of comprehensive revenue processes and procedures to control sales, revenue collection and revenue processing to safeguard agency assets.

Manages vendor performance to ensure contract compliance, adequacy of contract specifications and any requirements for training or remedial action to support agency needs.

Determines workflow requirements, sets manpower levels, performance goals and objectives, and assures proper training of personnel.

Involvement in the development of automated systems to support current and new agency initiatives to streamline workflow including upgrades and rollouts. Provide for adequate control and reporting and provide the best practices for customers. Areas include TVM, TOM, fare box, cashbox and other revenue handling equipment operation, faregates, on-board revenue collection, operator turn-ins, ticket control, etc.

Coordinates and prepares monthly payments to other agencies for interagency ticket sales

Develops and manages the production of revenue related reports to aid senior management with critical decision making.

Assists with special projects and new initiatives as requested.
Supervision Given To
Education, Experience & Qualifications
-
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related area from a US Department of Education accredited college or university.

Five (5) years of progressively responsible applied experience in financial analysis, to include supervisory experience.

One year of closely related experience can be substituted for each year of education required.
Knowledge & Skills
-
Knowledge of NJ TRANSIT Revenue policies and procedures
- Must have strong PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Strong verbal and written communication skills required

Knowledge of financial controls preferred.
