This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced Medical Biller to join our team at Bainbridge Island Physical Therapy.
Located on beautiful Bainbridge Island, our longstanding PT owned and operated clinic emphasizes exceptional patient care. The medical biller will work in tandem with other members of our medical billing team utilizing WebPT and Kareo (and clearinghouse) electronic systems. Medical Billing team is responsible for submitting medical billing, posting ERA and EOB, correcting claims, payer appeals, secondary billing, posting payments, printing statements, handling accounts 30 days and older, requesting needed treatment authorizations and appealing denials. Medical Billing team is expected to communicate with patients regarding their insurance, authorizations, and statements in a friendly, helpful manner. When necessary, complies with audit requests when requested from insurance carriers. Medical Billers are expected to keep up-to-date with current insurance billing requirements and billing guidelines appropriate to outpatient Physical Therapy and Medicare. Duties can include providing quarterly reports to owner pertaining to billing and A/R and working on special projects related to A/R clean-up as requested by owner.
