Our team provides the medical (internal medicine) services for an acute inpatient psychiatric facility. We pride ourselves on patient satisfaction. The job entails working in the hospital and in our private practice. We round the hospital each morning and see patients in our office in the afternoon. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a fast pace environment working with our internal medicine team. This job is perfect for someone who is interested in internal medicine and likes working with psychiatric patients.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include obtaining medical histories from new admissions each morning, rounding the hospital with our team, examining patients, entering medication orders, reviewing labs, ordering necessary follow up labs, and seeing patients in our office in the afternoon. You will be responsible for writing all new patient and follow up notes for patients on a designated floor in the hospital. The work in the office will be minimal.
