A patient-first practice dedicated to providing knowledge-based care and responsive patient services, the successful new team member will demonstrate:

    The AASKC Medical Assistant works directly with the physician during patient visits and is an integral part of the practice team that manages patient records, appointments and delivers exemplary patient-centered service. You will be responsible to:

    · Maintain a “how can I support the team” and welcoming attitude at all times.

    • Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.
    • Check patient vitals, administer allergy injections, and work with the physician in performing scratch testing and Intradermal testing.
    • Assist with patient check-in and check-out; verify personal and insurance information; collect and record payments; answer patient questions and address concerns.
    • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
    • Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
    • Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal and financial information.
    • Follow policies and procedures, suggesting improvements as needed.
    • Actively participate in staff meetings and team culture.

    Qualifications/Skills

    · Clinical Medical Assistant

    · 1 years’ experience in a medical office

    · Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Office: Word and Excel)

    · Electronic scheduling such as Google Calendar

    · Knowledge of EMR system; NextGen experience a plus

    · High school diploma or equivalent required
