Job description

Are you a CNA and would enjoy using your skills in an office setting? Do you have prior Medical Records, Health Information Data Management, or related searching for a new career opportunity? Then come join us at Braden River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center!

As a CNA - Medical Records Specialist (i.e., Medical Records Clerk, Health Information Clerk, etc.), you will be responsible for record keeping and medical records management at the center. You will prepare charts for new admissions, close medical records upon discharge, maintain physician’s orders and visit schedules, and audit to ensure records management meets center’s policies and procedures, professional standards, and state and federal laws and regulations for long-term care facilities. Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA Licensure in the state of FL required.
• Prior experience reading and interpreting medical terminology required.
• Prior experience and proficiency using Microsoft Windows, Computer-Based Programs and Internet-Based Applications required.
• Prior experience in Medical Records or related healthcare support position in a LTC / Skilled-Nursing experience a plus.
• Prior experience with PCC system required.
• Credentialing Physicians and licensure upkeep for all medical groups affiliated with Braden River Rehabilitation Center
