Responsible for maintaining patient files, responds to requests for medical records and performs clerical activities in support of the medical records department.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Protect the security and integrity of medical records to ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained in compliance with company policies and federal, state and local regulations.
• Maintains patient files and retrieves files for scheduled appointments.
• Responds to requests for medical record.
• Processes letters and report.
• Performs other clerical duties such as physician calls, follow up as directed with letters to different agencies and or provides offices.

Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma/GED; 1-year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in healthcare environment and medical terminology
• Proficiency in electronic health record software

Additional Details:

• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00PM to 5:00PM
