Medical Records Clerk - Home Care jobs in Mcallen, TX

A leading Home Health Agency is currently seeking a self-motivated and highly organized full-time PHC Medical Records Clerk for our office. Applicants must possess strong communication skills, organizational skills, and excellent phone etiquette. At least 1 year of PHC/PAS office or medical back-office experience is required. Vesta Web knowledge preferred. We offer competitive pay with growth potential and a great professional working environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Scanning, faxing, making copies, and making/answering phone calls
• Creating charts and filing medical records
• Auditing charts for accuracy and compliance
• Coordinating with Supervisors
• Updating data in EMR software
• Requesting H&Ps from hospitals
• Receiving tasks from Supervisor/Administrator and completing tasks
• Working well with other employees to complete tasks
• Running reports from Vesta
• Other Miscellaneous duties and tasks

Skills:

• Possess top notch analytical skills
• Be computer savvy and have Microsoft Office and G-suite knowledge
• Must be willing to work after hours if needed and have own transportation
• Have an outgoing attitude
• Must be responsible and have good attendance
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic
• Must have outstanding customer service skills
• Willing to work as a team to achieve goals
