    Responsible for performing office duties in the Health Information Management (HIM) Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Files and scans records, manages the release of information, HIPPA, protected health information (PHI), retention guidelines, and documentation requirements. Assures that medical records are accurate and completed in a timely manner to support patient care, business, and financial objectives.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 1 year experience of working in a medical setting

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2 years of community college/business school training

    • Additional course work in business or health care related subjects

    • Completion of ICD-9-CM, CPT coding, and/or Medical Terminology courses

    • 2 years Medical Office experience in a busy physician group practice

    • Experience with electronic medical record
