A Medical Records Clerk inputs demographics into mainframe, files reports, re-analyzes records after physician completion, retrieves, opens, and logs correspondence requests on the computer, prioritizes requests, orders necessary ancillary reports from other departments as needed, completes doctor approval/denial forms and attorney request forms as needed, completes requests and mails to requestor, scans and maintains Electronic Medical Records, and performs other clerical duties as requested.

EDUCATION:
Preferred:
One to two years of post-secondary education related to medical secretary or one year prior experience in a clinical position or medical records department
TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Proficiency with general office skills and legal access issues.
Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities.
Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy as it pertains to the documentation of information.
Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Excellent organizational skills.
