Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring qualified Medical Records Technician II to work for a hospital in Houston, Texas (Texas Medical Center).

The Medical Records Technician II ensures physical documentation is accounted for according to Medicaid/Medicare and organizational guidelines to facilitate payment for services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Locates and retrieves records to accurately audit and verify patient information.
• Updates client charts with information in a timely manner.
• Audits charts, records, and record documentation deficiencies for attending physicians to correct.
• Track location of charts using appropriate software.
• Respond to information requests either in person or by telephone in a timely manner.
• As requested, locate and make ready charts or information from charts in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Pay- $14/hr plus benefits
• Full benefits – healthcare, dental, vision, 401k program
