Medical Records Director directs medical record-keeping operations and healthcare information management to ensure secure, accurate, and reliable patient information management that complies with data and privacy regulations. Develops policies and procedures and conducts continuous improvement activities to ensure effective and compliant record management. Being a Medical Records Director implements digital technologies and tools to gain efficiencies, facilitate record retrieval, and ensure secure storage. Provides training for medical records staff and information resources to end-users. Additionally, Medical Records Director coordinates with clinical and technical professionals to maintain robust records management systems and manage data for analysis and reporting. Southview Medical Group, P.C. is a large, multi-specialty private practice with 34 Physicians. Electronic Health Records are a vital resource needed to treat our patients. Because medical records are constantly evolving, it is important that we always have the most up to date information available in order to provide the best patient care.
Southview's Health Information Management Clerks are responsible for ensuring that incoming medical records from other provider offices are correctly and efficiently indexed to the appropriate medical records. Specifically, HIM Clerks monitor a high volume of incoming electronic faxes and index them to medical records in a timely manner. HIM Clerks also build new patient accounts for incoming referrals arriving via our fax server.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 7:30AM 4:30PM.
This position is eligible to work from home following an in-office training period, typically 90 days.
Starting Hourly Rate up to $15.50
Southview requires a High School Diploma/GED for this position. Previous high-volume Electronic Medical Records experience in a fast-paced office is strongly preferred.
